Attention Collegiate Poker Players

Poker Now is the official online poker platform of the MIT Poker Club. With this we are thrilled to be the online host of MIT’s Poker Fest Tournament series.

Are you ready to embrace the thrill of high-stakes poker and compete for your share of over $15,000 in cash prizes? The MIT Poker Club proudly presents our second annual Poker Fest, a one-day intercollegiate freeroll poker tournament that promises an unforgettable experience. Join us for the chance to win the top prize and face off against skilled poker players from universities across the country! 

Key Highlights:

• Date and Time: Poker Fest will take place tentatively March 16th 2024 (more information coming soon) at the MIT Media Lab (75 Amherst St, Cambridge, MA 02139) on the 6th floor. Mark your calendars now!

• Guest Speaker: We are working with poker pros to have as guest speakers so stay tuned for updates to gain insights from professionals!

• Sponsors: Explore booths from our esteemed sponsors, including SIG, Jane Street, Poker Now, and more. Learn about these companies, network with professionals, and grab some fantastic free swag! 

Qualifiers:

• We have two types of qualifiers running on the first Saturday at 1 PM EST of each month from November to March:

  • MIT Student Qualifier

  • Open Student Qualifier (with the exception of March, which is MIT-only)

• Both qualifiers will run concurrently, offering participants a chance to secure a spot in our flagship event, Poker Fest 2024.

• Qualifiers will be hosted virtually via Poker Now. To participate, you must be a student at a university and must complete a Google form with your school email (ending in .edu) and username to ensure your admittance into the qualifiers. You are required to use the same username for all qualifiers.

• The final table from each qualifier will be invited to participate in Poker Fest.

• The top three players in each qualifier will receive a cash prize TBD.

Don't Miss the First Qualifiers:

• The initial set of qualifiers kicks off on Saturday, November 4th, at 1:00 PM EST.

• Please fill out the Google forms by Friday, November 3rd at 11:59 PM in order to participate in the first qualifiers. Failure to do so will result in your inability to participate in these qualifiers.

Brutal Cooler on New High Stakes Poker

Rick Salomon and Brandon Steven played one of the most memorable pots of Season 11 on High Stakes Poker during Monday's brand new Episode 11 session, a set-over-set hand for hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The table remained the same as last week when Salomon and Steven competed against Jennifer Tilly, Jean-Robert Bellande, Bobo Chann, Justin Gavri, and Rob Yong. There were plenty of massive pots, some aggressive (and sometimes successful) bluffs, and some of the best action we've seen during the current season.

Blake Bohn Wins Record Fifth Mid-States Poker Tour Title

Blake Bohn now stands alone as the all-time titles leader on the Mid-States Poker Tour. Bohn was tied for the most MSPT wins with Dan Bekavac, with both players having four victories on tour. In the early morning hours of Oct. 30, Bohn emerged victorious from a field of 557 entries in the 2023 MSPT Ameristar East Chicago $1,100 no-limit hold’em main event with his record-setting fifth win and the top prize of $113,146.
