In addition to being a talented poker player, Alexandra Botez is an accomplished chess player achieving her highest FIDE Elo rating of 2092 in March 2016.

Alexandra Botez is a name that many chess and poker enthusiasts are familiar with. Born in 1995 in Romania, Botez moved to Canada when she was six years old and began playing chess competitively at the age of six. She quickly became one of the top chess players in Canada, winning several national titles and representing her country in international tournaments.

In addition to her success in chess, Botez has also made a name for herself in the world of poker. She started playing poker in college and has since become a regular on the live poker scene, playing in tournaments all over the world. Botez is also a popular Twitch streamer, where she streams her poker and chess games to a growing audience.

Botez has experienced great success in her relatively short career, and she shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Her achievements in both chess and poker are well documented and she is a role model for young women everywhere!

Will Kassouf, known for his “speech play”, was recently accused of pocketing chips he lost in an all-in pot during a low-stakes pot-limit Omaha cash game at the 2023 Irish Open. On Tuesday's Doug Polk Podcast, Will Kassouf denied the allegations. As usual Doug does an excellent job with this interview!

Earlier this month, Leo Worthington-Leese posted a video on social media sharing a second-hand story about Kasssouf he was told by a friend in the aforementioned cash game.
