VIDEO: Legendary Johnny Chan
Johnny Chan is a legendary poker player best known for winning back-to-back World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event titles in 1987 and 1988, a feat that cemented his place in poker history. He nearly made it three in a row in 1989 but finished runner-up to a young Phil Hellmuth. Chan was one of the first international poker stars, originally from China, and his success helped bring mainstream attention to the game. His smooth, confident demeanor at the table, along with his signature lucky orange, made him an iconic figure in the poker world. Chan’s influence grew even further when he was featured in the movie Rounders (1998), inspiring a new generation of poker players.
